MetaVerbs: More Changes

Statements such as make tracker 1 unlocked suggest an alternate useful

form:

unlock tracker 1.

This is an example of a metaverb, in this case, a verb form of a metavalue.

Metaverbs were introduced earlier in the section Substitutions in "Means". It is useful to define verb forms of common metavalues.

Each metaverb is defined specifically, for (real) example,

define "export a metaobject" means make the metaobject exportable.

define export is a metaverb. // verb is OK too

Note that we use a metaobject in the definition: this allows us to affect objects of any type, if there are several different types that can be made exportable or not.

You can save time by applying several metaverbs at once to a metaobject or group of metaobjects:

lock, export, and flash the teal trackers.

Exercise: list all the metaverbs

Exercise: what if you don't want to export some trackers?
