Mac OS X

If you have changed the SynthEyes install location, you will need to update SyPy/SyPy3's syconfig.py.

For python 2.6/2.7, use the Finder to copy the folder /Applications/Boris FX/SynthEyes 2024/SyPy into /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages OS X should ask you for permission to do so. Alternatively, you can open a terminal window then run the following commands:

cd /Applications/SynthEyes/SyPy # or SyPy3 su [or sudo]

csh +x installMac.csh

./installMac.csh

Python 3 is not included in macOS by default, so you'll need to install it, either from python.org or using Homebrew ("brew python"). You should then do the process above with the names updated to reflect where you've installed python3.

Start SynthEyes and Edit/Preferences. Go to the System section and make sure that the python executable filename there corresponds to your system.
