Named MetaValues

A camera's field of view, tracker's location, or a mesh's position are all numbers.

A light's name is a string. Metaobjects have large numbers of other metavalues that aren't easily conversed about using numbers, even though SynthEyes and other software use numbers. Consider tracker types, solving modes, mesh types, etc, each of which has many possible settings: trying to remember all the requisite numbers would be impossible.

Synthia uses named metavalues so that you can easily talk about the settings, for example, tracker 10's tracker type may be match or black spot or planar and camera 1's solver mode automatic. Naturally each of these named metavalues is defined by a rule, and Synthia keeps track of the underlying codes so you don't have to.
