Appendix 1: Microphone and Speech Setup
A headset is recommended for voice synthesis and recognition. The headset will help make sure that your voice, and only your voice, makes it into your computer for recognition by the operating system.
The speech being output by your computer can also be heard by it, less so with a headset. You can use the sentence half duplex to tell Windows systems to stop listening to themselves ( full duplex to disable this).
